Scallop Butterfly Tutorial {Pebbles Blog}

Hi, everyone!

Today on the Pebbles Blog,it is How To Tuesday. I have a Scallop Butterfly Tutorial, on creating your own custom butterfly embellishments.

I love premade embellishments, but sometimes I love creating my own! It is no secret that one of my favorite embellishment is a butterfly. If my son, would allow me to use them on his pages,he would have pages of sweet butterflies, too!

4 You-Pebbles Card

Hello my friends! 
I wanted to share a card I created for the Pebbles Blog. The theme this week is Stars & Stripes. I decided to create a card that could be used for any occasion, but still had a bit of a patriotic feel to it.

With CHA around the corner, there have been a few sneak peeks from manufacturers. Today, Pebbles released a peek at the new Fresh Goods Collection. Oh, my stars, I am loving it! Anything with butterflies makes me so very happy!!!

Okay, I am calling it a night. I hope your day was wonderful! Mine was a bit long, and oh so very busy! Now, I think I will go and watch a movie, before calling it a night!

Sketchy Thursday with Pebbles

Happy Thursday!

Today, on the Pebbles blog it is Sketchy Thursday. I loved the sketch assigned to me. A little different than my normal style, so glad I had the design work done for me. All I had to complete were the added details. Something that I love to do on my projects!

This page uses the new collection Floral Lane by Pebbles. I love this line, and think I have little left in my stash. I did use a few bits from the Ever After Collection, too. These photos are of Macie, taken right before her Cheer Banquet. I remember how she did not like the dress she was wearing, only because she wanted a shoe with a bit of a heel! LOL Finally, I gave in, and she agreed to wear it!


I love the premade titles by Pebbles. Adhesive is already on the back, and all I added was a stitched button for extra detail. I cannot stop using vellum, so I added a scallop circle of vellum to soften up this girly page.


Closeup detail on one of the scallops. Here I simply stitched the flower buttons around one of the edges. I added two banner strips, created with the Papertrey die. My finishing detail was the metal Princess embellishment from Pebbles.

Also, it is that time again! Pebbles has announced their Design Team Call! I have throughly enjoyed my time on the Design Team. It has been two years! I am not sure where the time has gone, but it has been simply wonderful to be a part of the Pebbles team!

Pebbles Floral Lane {Mini Album}

Good morning! 
Today, I wanted to share a few pages from a mini, I created with the new Pebbles Floral Lane Collection. My assignment was Free For All, which means I can create what I would like. Of course, that will probably mean home decor, or a mini. When I first received Floral Lane, I knew a mini album would be created. The papers are double sided with beautiful patterns to choose from on each side. (I secretly wish they would not do this! LOL So very hard to decide, so I end up buying two of each paper.)

Here is the cover of the mini album. I made the cover smaller, so you could see the embossed vellum page underneath. 
 

I keep forgetting about the cute mini brown envelopes from Pebbles. I love adding tags, and envelopes in my books. A perfect place to hold extra photos or journaling.

I wish my little girl could stay like this forever. She is my baby, and I will miss the days when she no longer wants to play with dolls. 

On this page I used the Tim Holtz dress form die, to create the girly embellishment on the left. Pleated some of the patterned paper, to create a quick skirt. Of course, it needed some ribbon, button, and Pebbles pins! For complete list of supplies, please {click here} to be directed to Pebbles!

After creating projects for the hop, I also had a Mini Album to kit, and teach. So about 5pm on Saturday, I simply came home and slept the day away!
On Sunday, my daughter and I, had our first NCL meeting. After the meeting, Steve and I had a movie date. So a very productive, and relaxing weekend. However, I am still trying to recover, which explains starting my day at 10am! Four more days, and my children are on Summer Vacation! I will admit, I am counting the days!

Favorite Things on the Pebbles Blog

This page went up on the Pebbles Blog today! The designers are featuring their favorite products, or techniques. I decided to combine my favorite Pebbles paper, with my favorite paper flower, scallop flowers.
couple of details:

I added a cluster of scallop flowers to the bottom of the page, using simple embellishments for the centers.

Here, I used one of the journal stickers as a tag. I added another sticker with pop dots, and created a wide banner to add extra dimension. For a complete supply list, and to see the wonderful page, by Sarah, {click here}.

Today, is my husband's Birthday, and he has requested peach cobbler! So off to find a recipe, and hoping it turns out well.

I created a cluster of embellishments using the layered stickers. By adding a button, and bit of string you can add so much more dimension to premade embellishments. I am in love with the Toothpick Flags. They are not just for cupcakes! They make fabulous embellishments on your papercrafting projects. Pebbles is rocking the embellishment category! I cannot wait to see what they have designed next!

Have you seen Water for Elephants? I just returned from the movie, and I absolutely loved it! It is definitely on my favorite movie list!!! Definitely a must see this weekend!

Pebbles {Mr. & Mrs}. Wedding Decor Keepsake

This week on the Pebbles Blog, the Mr. & Mrs. Collection is being featured. The color palette is full of traditional colors, and designs! The patterns are simple, but yet they are full of elegance, and gorgeous detail!

This collection is perfect for documenting your wedding, invitations, decor, or for those special black and white snapshots! Of course, this collection also has beautiful embellishments to coordinate. My favorite were the metal flowers! I loved these!

For the Pebbles Blog, I decided to create a wedding keepsake of my wedding. I have been married for over twelve years, so it brought back a lot of  happy memories, as I was creating this frame.

On my creative list, I have wanted to create a decor project of my wedding. I was inspired by a Flicker image that was posted to Pinterest. (Have you heard of this site? It is full of color, and inspirational photos of everything you  can possibly imagine!) It is like having an online folder of all the things you love! You are able to file an item, or image you like, and also from the site itself. It is very addictive, but so very fun! 

The project I pinned, was an open frame, and polaroid snapshots were hung from string. I wanted a similar project, but on a smaller scale. I added a few snapshots, and hung them from jewelry wire, held by tiny clothespins. 

I love this frame, and it has just the right amount of touches to remember this wonderful day!

This would also make a perfect gift for the soon to be married couple! 
a few details:



Here you can see the metal flowers! They are so pretty, and are perfect for any type of project. I hung a few snapshots by tiny clothespins I have been stashing away in a drawer. I simply misted them with Inkadinkado Black Spray Ink. (You may want to wear plastic gloves, and use a cardboard box! Just sayin')

I am loving felt on my projects, and these flowers are swoon worthy! I cannot get enough this striped ribbon, and a little bit adds the perfect finishing detail!

These chipboard frames were also from my stash. I simply misted, and added touches of Pebbles layered sticker embellishments.

Here in the corner of the frame, I added a 7Gypsy knob to hold all the lovely layers! I used string, more luscious ribbon, key, Pebbles layered sticker, Pebbles stick pins, and Pebbles tiny white epoxy flowers!

Waiting For My Prince {Pebbles Ever After}

This week on the Pebbles Blog, they are introducing the new Ever After Collection. It is all about princesses, fairy tales, and anything pink! 

The following page is of my sweet little princesss, Macie. She loves all girly things, and loves to play dress up. So glad she still believes in fairy tales!

I used one of my new Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs, to create the doilies on the page. This line is full of clean lines, with lots of whimsy details. Even if you do not have girls, it can be used for Spring, and Easter projects. 

I realized I failed to take detail shots, but hopefully you can see the fun embossing, a touch of felt, and the yummy white rose ribbon from American Crafts!!! This ribbon is swoon worthy!
