Happy Wednesday!

The color Brown is the My Mind's Eye challenge for November. Here is the sketch designed by the wonderful Anam Stubbington:

My take on the sketch: Brother

This page uses the Lost & Found Two, mixed in with a Cricut Cartridge from Teresa Collins. I am in love with the Sophisticated Cartridge, and it has slowly become one of my favorites. I used it to diecut the word Brother, and the crown, too. 


The crown was one of my "brown" elements I tied into the page. The sentiment pretty much summed up, how I feel about my sweet son! He is such an amazing son, and in challenging times, he can lift my mood in a heartbeat.

Here is a closeup of chipboard I simply layered on top of one another. The paper underneath was actually cut from this paper. I had a scrap leftover, so I cut it, and layered under the photo.

Today, I will be spending time cleaning my room after my class last night! Thank you to the wonderful ladies last night for your energy, and understanding. Halloween Paper Treat Bags {Duetica}

Hi, everyone!

I know Halloween has come, and gone! I cannot believe we are already in November. However, because I was not able to post these last month, thought it would be okay to share them today. These treat bags were part of my Ocotber assignment for Duetica.

I created these treat bags for friends, and teachers. I simply took a paper bag, and embellished the front to create a fun way to package candy bars. I used mini paper bags last year, but needed something a bit bigger for the adults. Afer all, everyone loves candy!

I have been holding onto this Halloween collection by Making Memories, and love how the color combination looked with the kraft lunch bags. My children take their snacks in lunch bags, so I have a lot of these on hand. I cut down a bunch of these, and also took time to create some Christmas ones, too. Super fast, and they make for fun packaging.


Here are three of them together. Sorry for the bad photo. I had a hard time photographing these together! I kept the design all the same, so it would be faster to assemble. The Duetica font, I used for my sentiment is the
DT Floot. I love all the paint splashes in this font. I used it to accent the letter "o's" in my sentiment.


A closer look at the font! I love playing with the design studio feature, I have control over each individual letter. It was perfect for my Halloween sentiment.

Here is a closer look of the embellishing on the bottom. I did a lot of stitching on this fun project. I am not a seamstress, so do not look too closely! LOL

Quick update on the Santa's Workshop Class

sweet harvest {Crate Paper Farmhouse}

Happy Friday!

Today, I have a page I created using Crate's Farmhouse collection. I love this sweet photo of my son, Roman. This photo was taken when we lived in Texas, and it is one of the few I have left from this time. My hard drive crashed, and I lost so many photos. Luckily, I have this one to remind me how much he loved to wear jeans, and work on his grandfather's farm.

At the top of this page I used one of cards from the Farmhouse Accents  paper. I also layered my journaling on a tag, along with a farmhouse phrase sticker layered on black cardstock. The border underneath is from the chipboard 12x12 sheet. This is one of my favorite elements, so many fun accents to choose from.

Here, I used one of the frames from the chipboard elements to hold part of my title. I layered more of this paper underneath the frame. I used a label to finish my title with the mini stickers, and used my mini stapler to accent a few  of them. A few layered circle chipboard elements, and the fabulous buttons are the finishing details. 

Okay, I could not sleep, so now what to do at 4:00am in the morning??? Well, I guess it is the perfect time to clean my scrapbook room. It needs some attention, and I really must find my work table again. I have assignments to begin, and finish. My son has a bye this week from Football, so
it looks like it will be a scrapbooking day for me.  Then I am off to work at Timeless to finish the Spooktacular crop! It should be a great evening, and I will be mentally designing my projects in my head! LOL

Haunted Halloween Banner {My Mind's Eye}

Are you ready for Halloween? I really wanted to write, are you ready for some football?? LOL Okay, I am simply exhausted from a very long day, so excuse my attempt at being humorous. LOL

Halloween is right around the corner, and today on the My Mind's Eye Blog, I created the following Haunting Halloween Banner:

Banners are difficult for me to photograph. I had to lower this, just to get an okay photo. Hopefully, this image tells the story, that it is a Halloween banner(;

Guest Designer {Imaginisce}

Hi, everyone!
Yesterday my work was featured on the Imaginisce blog! I was asked if I would like to guest design, and of course, I said, "Yes!." Imaginisce has some darling lines of papers and embellishments. Their papers are full of whimisical details!  I created a few new scrapbook pages, and a set of Christmas tags. I love Chistmas, and enjoyed working with their new Christmas line, and School line, too.

A to Z

Seriously, one of my favorite photos to scrapbook are school photos. I have so many that I took of my Miss Macie last year, and was saving this photo for the right paper. Well, it worked perfectly for this page, and love the darling caterpillar. This picture is perfect representation of Macie's personality! She is always one to ham it up, and there is never a dull moment with her around!

Now, to add interest to the right of the page, I punched random circles into the paper. Now, after seeing it, it reminds me of the book the Hungry Caterpillar.

I used one of the journaling stickers to type my journaling. I did have to remove it from the backing, because it was on dimensionals. I added a bit of stamping to the bottom, and added the cute pencil!

This Geek is Chic paper collection is so adorable, and I will definitely need to buy more from this line. I have lots more photos to scrap.

My Mind's Eye Challenge Fall Page

Hi, everyone! I am still recovering from this eye infection, but I think I can see well enough to type this post! LOL Today, on the My Mind's Eye Blog they have posted their new challenge on the blog! Here  are the details:

The challenge: Design a layout based on this wonderful sketch and use “FALL” as your theme (sketch by Anam Stubbington).

The rules: Use ANY My Mind’s Eye products (current or past) as long as your project has at least 80% My Mind’s Eye products.

The deadline: Add a link to your project to the bottom of THIS POST using inlinkz by Sunday, October 23, 2011 (midnight, MST). Please include your first and last name and project name when uploading. (a photo of your layout or project will show directly in the post)

The PRIZE: The winner will receive three ENTIRE collections of their choice! We will also award an honorable mention winner with one collection of their choice! All winners will be featured in a blog post and have bragging rights!

Now, how easy is this? I decided to use the Mischievious line to create a the following Fall page of my daughter. I know this line is geared towards documenting the spooky moments, but it can also be used on the everyday fall moments, too.


This photos were taken of Gabi last year at the pumpkin patch. She is growing up so quickly, and she feels she is a little too old to be hunting for the perfect pumpkin. However, glad she agreed to let me take her photo. Even though the Mischievous line is more of a Halloween line, it has many patterns that are perfect for the fall. I highlighted the oranges in this collection, by selecting the dot paper as my main focal pattern. Of course, adding in the gorgeous orange bloom from Prima that I have had in my stash for awhile.

Here, I created a pocket to tuck in my journaling. For some reason,I was in a "circular" mood, so  I added lots of circles to this page. I punched a circle on the pocket itself to highlight the gorgeous black diamond paper. I love this paper, and cannot stop using it. I was so excited to see burlap as one of the newest trims released from My Mind's Eye. Burlap is so trendy right now, but could never find it in this perfect width!

Again, I highlighted the patterned paper, and layered underneath the letter "o" in my title.

Here is a closer look at the burlap ribbon, and my attempt at machine stitching! LOL I rarely sew on my pages, but decided to attempt a few stitches recently. There is one page, where it is a little noticeable that I did not sew on a straight line! LOL However, it does give it a homemade touch, and that is what is important, right? (; I will share that one soon!

One more thing before I go.  I wanted to answer a few questions in regards to my classes.

Are class kits available? Yes, you are able to purchase my class kits if you cannot make the class date, or do not live in the area.

Preview of Classes at Timeless Treasures

Hello, everyone!

Today, I am sharing sneak peeks of two more of the classes I am teaching at Timeless Treasures.

The first class is an altered shadowbox by 7Gypsies, called Santa's Workshop.

I had so much fun designing all the panels! I love handmade projects for the holidays! We will be creating with Authentique's Wonder Collection , and so many different bits of holiday goodness! 

A peek of the 12 Tags of Christmas Class. Well, I am calling them Christmas Tags, but others are calling them Christmas Ornaments! LOL So whether you use them as the final details on Christmas presents, or hang them from a tree, we are going to have so much fun playing with so many textures!
