Kiss {Je t'Adore by Making Memories & Sketches2Scrapbook App}

Did you know that there is a Scrapbooking App for your IPhone, IPod or IPad?? It is called Sketches2Scrapbook!
I work occasional crops at Timeless Treasures, and one thing I have noticed is that so many of the scrapbookers come prepared with a binder of sketches. Well, now it is as easy as looking at your phone with an array of different pages, with the sketch! The sample sketch also comes with a complete supply list. Fabulous inspiration at your fingertips!!!

The genius behind this fabulous app is Anam Stubbington! She is so talented, and her apps are easy to navigate! I was lucky to be asked to contribute to her newest release, and also created a card for her Card App, too. The Card App should be released on February 14. Today, I can share the page I created with Making Memories Je t'Adore Collection. This line is a soft, and floral palette. It is so beautiful in person, and really fell in love with the embellishments.

Seriously, this snapshot just tugs at my heartstrings. I remember this moment perfectly. Roman loves his baby sister, but does not like to be near the color pink, much less be kissed! So, I was trying to get them together to pose, but Roman was being difficult! So Macie grabbed him, and gave him a kiss! I love Roman's sweet face, and glad I was able to capture this moment.
a few details:

Bloom was created with the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Sizzix die. Finished the center with a Jenni Bowlin button. My favorite vintage buttons.

More blooms, twine, and a fabulous  Candy Button Clip from Ki Memories.

 
The diecut scroll was cut from a Cricut cartridge, and dusted with glitter!

St. Nick Altered Christmas Frames {Scrapbook Trends Magazine}

I wanted to share my St. Nick Frames. I created these last year, and I was blessed to have them published in the Holidays Magazine by Scrapbook Trends. I love creating Home decor projects. Maybe it is because of the homemade touches, that make the decor that more special. Seeing the little details, scattered throughout the home, brings me joy. I love papercrafting, especially around this magical season.

 

With the magazine now out in publication, I wanted to post these frames back onto my blog. The paper collection I used was by Making Memories.

Five Days, Five Haunting Halloween Projects {Day 2} "Beware Halloween"Seven Gypsies Tray

Happy Tuesday!!!
Welcome to Day Two of: Five Days, Five Haunting Halloween Projects!  Today, I have the 7Gypsies Tray to share with you. This was definitely a challenge to cut each panel individually. I had so much fun creating this project! I knew I wanted  to add lots of dimension, and texture to the panels. In a few of the them, I decided to raise some of my embellishments. I did a lot of my favorite things to this home decor item. You will see a lot of stamping, inking, layers, more layers, and fun embellishments!!

I teamed up this wonderful home decor item, with some spooky Halloween Paper, by the Girls Paperie. It is called Toile & Trouble.


a few details:


The skull charm is layered on top of a very large black button. I found these wonderful treasures when I was in Big Bear. I only have ten left, so I am using them very sparingly! LOL I love big, and bold embellishments!

The candy apples element is actually a digital design by Kerri Bradford. She designed digital elements that are exact measurements, for this printer's tray. Her tray is absolutely gorgeous, and I loved her Halloween graphics. However, I only used the candy apples from her digital kit. I did print this element on cardstock, and again on a transparency. I layered the two together, so it would stand out more. I wanted lots of dimension, and texture on mine. I can see myself using the other digital items on other projects. The bones are cut from the Spook Alley Slice Cartridge by Making Memories. It has so many great designs that you can use over, and over again! (The bats in the above snapshot, are also cut with this exact cartridge.)

I knew when I saw this tray, I would use the lower right hand corner to display the date of Halloween. {October 31} 
one last detail: (if you are still with me! LOL)

One of my favorite panels, is the one with the mini wooden spools. They fit perfectly, and I simply layered with patterned paper. The clock panel, has many layers here too. I began with an orange diecut with the glittered witch, layered on top of this a large clock transparency, and finished with a smaller circle transparency. Then accented with small bats.
The large glitter spider is from Michael's and he is perfect for sitting in the upper left hand corner!

Thank you for taking a peek at my project! This tray is a perfect accent to our Halloween Home Decor! The kids love it, and I had fun creating it! (It has been raining the last couple of days, so I did my best to photograph.) (:

I am a Critic {Making Memories} and a Giveaway on the Pebbles Blog

A few weeks ago, Rich from Making Memories contacted me. He asked if he could use a comment I made regarding their new Noel Christmas Line for their marketing line. Of course I said yes, but I had no idea where he may have read my comment. (I can now add Critic to my resume!!! LOL) It is true, I always love their Christmas lines!! It is always one of my top favorites. I cannot wait to see this colloection in our scrapbooking store soon! I have my 2010 Daily December that I want to create with this line!!! 
Here is what I said:

Well, it is all true! You can see it at the top of the poster, along with someone else's quote too!
Now, you may notice that I tend to use a lot of exclamations when I write. I apologized for those, but he chose to include them! LOL My husband has always said I am so loud, and I am very expressive when I speak. It comes out in my writing too!!! 
This poster is going out to 3000 independent  stores, and happy that he sent me the finished project! So just some fun news to share with you!!!

Friendship {Making Memories-Flutter}

Happy Wednesday! 
Today, I have a quick card, to share with you. Steve decided to take the kids to work with him, so I have a few hours to myself. Rarely, does this happen, where I find sometime alone, so I am hoping to be productive today. I have a list of things to cross off the list. I am also the Team Mom, for my son's football team, and this is turning out to be quite a challenge! LOL So lots to do, but it is so quiet, I do not even know how to begin! 
 
I used the Flutter line, by Making Memories.I wanted to create a happy card for a friend, and I thought these colors were perfect. I love the combination of pinks, and oranges.
"Friendship"

I found these fantastic, large chipboard butterflies, by GCD Studios {Melody Ross}. I love butterflies, and this package gives you a great assortment of sizes. I decided to use one of the large butterflies, as the base of my card. I simply, covered it with the Pattern Stripe Flutter, sanded the edges, and finish it with another chipboard butterfly, on top.
