4th of July Banner {Class at Timeless Treasures}

Happy Wednesday!

Today, I am sharing with you my 4th of July Banner that I will be teaching at Timeless Treasures. It has been a very long time that I have designed a class. However, I am ready to get back to doing what I love. This banner has bits & pieces from random paper collections. You will see Bazzill,
Canvas Corp., Pebbles, and Echo Park. I took some of my favorite patterns that screamed 4th of July to put this all together.  A perfect collaberation for the red, white, & blue.

This blog post is very photo heavy, as I created a banner with 10 panels. I also love the details that finish the final project. I wanted to share as many as I could with you. 

{I only had 30 minutes to assemble, and photograph. Sun was going down, and I was on my way to Roman's baseball game. My original idea was to tie blue tulle in between each of the panels. However,  I seemed to have misplaced it! LOL I still think it looks great without it, but will be extra special when I add it. }

4th of July Banner:

In this banner class we will be working with some of  my favorite elements: Vellum, heat embossing, rosettes, pinwheels. doilies, and lots of layering.  This will be perfect for your 4th of July celebration, and I hope you will join me in class as we create one panel at a time!

Details of the banner:

 

I love, love pockets created with vellum paper. Here I created an envelope to begin, and end the banner. You will find one more tucked in the middle, too. I layered with crepe paper that I ruffled using my sewing machine. I added a stripe paper to the inside, and of course added a bit of sparkle inside! 

 

 

 

 Now, here is another vellum envelope, but this time added it to a banner panel, just because.

 

 

 

Doily is white!  

 I think this is one of my favorites of all the panels! Just screams happy, and festive at the same time!

 

 Here on the tag. We will be playing with glitter, of course! Add in paint, and modeling paste, & we are learning a new technique!

List of supplies to bring will be given to you when you receive a reminder call about my class! If you cannot make the class, not to worry. I will have kits available with full instructions, and photos. Due to the detail given to this project, you will be charged one week prior to my class. If you cannot make the class, a  kit will be available for pickup beginning June 18th. Please call (949)888-7151 to reserve your spot! {I am limiting the size of my class.}

I had such a great time playing, and designing this banner. I hope that you will enjoy it, too. However, time to put it away, and begin designing my next class. I get lost in the details, and this is what makes me happy!

Love & Kisses Mini {Class with Echo Park}

Hi, everyone!

I wanted to share a sneak peek of my upcoming class at Timeless Treasures. With Valentine's Day around the corner, I wanted to create a sweet mini to tuck in snapshots of my children. It is no secret I {heart} mini albums. This time I also included a keepsake box, to hold this special book.
Here is a peek of my "Love & Kisses" Mini:



I used Echo Park's Be Mine Collection to create this sweet Valentine ensemble! It is full of stamping, and glittery details.

Details of my  class:

Create a Valentine's Mini to document this special day! However, this mini will be perfect to document those you love any time of the Season!This class will use the beautiful Be Mine Collection by Echo Park. We will be creating a 5x5 mini, that will be a keepsake to cherish! We will be playing with glitter,crepe paper, creating felt flowers, and paper flowers! If you have taken my class before, you know we are going to get inky as we stamp the details in this book! This mini has sweet tags, sweet doilies, and envelopes to tuck your sweet love letters. The perfect size, filled with tiny details! If you cannot make the class, Class kits are available. A PDF with complete instructions will be emailed to you!

Supplies to  bring: 

Basic Scrapbooking kit, Cropadile, wet wipes, paper piercer, paper trimmer, glue dots, pop dots, brayer or bone folder, exacto knife, sanding block, fabric adhesive (Beacon Adhesive Fabric Tac), Favorite black ink, I used Colorbox Charcoal in my mini, needle, & glitter glue

If you have not heard the news,  the amazing Teresa Collins is planning to teach a class on January 31 from 7:30-10:30pm.Teresa is really  good friends with Nancy,(store owner of the fabulous Timeless), so I am happy that they were able to coordinate a time.She will be teaching a class with new CHA product. Happy Monday

I wanted to pop in, and wish you a very a Happy Monday! In between laundry, and preparing tonight's dinner, I will  be working with these fabulous papers:

Well, actually the papers have been cut to a mini 5x5! I am creating a Valentine mini! This is my next class, that will be at tomorrow's preview at Timeless Treasures. Just have a few finishing details to add! I am loving this little book, and will share a sneak peek of the cover tomorrow.

Merry Christmas Tags & More {Echo Park}

I cannot believe Christmas is arriving in a week!! I have packages to wrap, sweet treats to package, and we still need to visit Santa! However, I am not feeling overwhelmed, because today my children begin their Christmas vacation!!! Can you hear that?? Just me singing, and happy to know that we will be able to slow down, and enjoy the vacation as a family! 

One of my favorite items to create are tags! I love Christmas tags, and the special touch they give to a homemade treat, or a store bought package. I created the five tags above as a hostess gift. My friend, Jennifer, hosted a wonderful Christmas get together at her home! I decided to make these for her,and I hope that it helps add some festive touches to her packaging.

I created all the tags with theEverybody Loves Christmas from Echo Park. I love the bright colors, and whimsical designs. A little non traditional for me, but just as pretty!!!!

A few details:

I used a simple white doily as the base for this tag! Super easy, and so pretty! 

On this tag, I did a little bit of Stampin' Mixing. I used a stamp from Inkadinkado, and the Girls Paperie, to create the label.

Perhaps, my favorite tag:
 

I used the Snow Friends Stamp by Inkadinkado. I fell in love with this stamp. I stamped the image onto white cardstock, and used a die, to cut the image onto a smaller note tag. I wish I had the right Copic Colors to color the image, but I decided to simply dust the entire image with Diamond Dust. A word of caution, do not put your hand directly into the jar! LOL It really does have fine particles of glass! The finished result was the sweet image in a cloud of sparkly snow!

We were also supposed to bring a gift to exchange, along with our favorite bottle of wine.

I tucked a gift certificate to my new favorite store Pier 1, inside the glittery box. The box was purchased at Michael's. I embellished the front with a glittery snowflake, and beautiful pleated flower. I finished the side with another tag for addressing.
 

I could not resist topping the wine bottle, with this whimsical decoration! I found them at Pottery Barn, and could not resist purchasing a few! It does add a festive touch!

We had a wonderful time, and I am glad I took time out of a busy schedule to reconnect with friends. Friends are such an important part of my life! I am so grateful to have a few that I can truly count on!

I am off to make homemade pizzas, and it is Family game night! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and are able to sit and relax, too.
