Happy Saturday!
Yesterday, My Mind's Eye had a new blog feature, called Freaky Friday. Two designers switched styles for the day! My assignment was to intrepret Tina Walker's style. I can tell you this was defintely a challenge, but fun nonetheless. Tina has an eclectic, and modern style to her work. She uses lots of white space, and features smaller photos. I am all about the big photos, and feel that I have a traditional scrapbooking style. {Incorporating details throughout.}
Here is my page featuring my Macie, and a friend at the local strawberry patch! The collection I used was My Girl. This was my first time to create with this collection, and I am in love with the washi tape.
My Girl has so many fun patterns, and is full of bold colors! Really, loved the varitey of papers, and wish Macie was still this young!
Now, on this scrapbook page, I used my Silhouette Cameo for the very first time! I have been wanting this machine for such a long time, and it was a steal for $40.00 at Michaels! Happy New Year to me!
Obviously, the You & Me was cut with the silhouette, and added my own details by using an embossing folder! A cute floral chipboard button, layered with an enamel dot, adds simple details to the diecut. Also, since Tina loves mixed media, I added a splash red paint on the sides of my page! I was very scared as I applied it! LOL
On this page, I also added strips of the Washi tape! How fun are those patterns?? Seriously, could have taped my entire page! LOL I added the felt flowers right on top of the tape borders! You can also find them here at Two Peas In A Bucket.
I really like the way this page turned out, and was happy with the final result!
I will be spending the evening working on assignments, and designing new classes. I do have a few older kits that are available, and you can find them here.
Enjoy your night!
