Happy December 1st everyone! Today, I have a scrapbook page featuring Little Yellow Bicycle's, Get Your Game On. This was featured on their blog at the beginning of November. I know it is Christmas time, but baseball signups have alreay started in our area. Roman is currently playing basketball, but he is anxiously awaiting the spring.
One thing I loved about their Game On collection, were the full 12x12 sheets for each sport. Here I simply used the baseball page for the base of my layout. So easy, and then I began on designing a few extra embellishments to the page. Stars are always a perfect pairing for sports pages. Here I did used some cork paper that I stamped with a star background to add extra texture.
I used the Baseball Collage paper as the background to document this photo of my son holding the coveted Game Ball! I cannot tell you how his eyes would light up as the coach would begin his speech as to who the lucky recepient would be! He was secretly wishing each time, it would be him! On this day, he was the lucky one, and I wish I had been quicker to document his expression. It was priceless! However, he did agree to pose for a photo afterward.
I created a polaroid frame from cardstock, and layerd it over the game ball photo. I also punched two smaller circles along the bottom. In the center, I layered a cork circle with a sticker on top. I do love how you can see a bit of the ticket underneath the frame.
Tags are always my go to embellishment, when I want to add layers around photos. I embossed one side of the tag with a star embossing folder. I used one of the journaling tickets from this collection along the bottom of the photo, and a few sticker to finish.
I am participating in a holiday boutique this evening, so I better get organized(: My children also have a Christmas concert, and this will be our first photo in my December daily. Happy December!!!
I really like the feel of this page! Great job!! :)
