Hi, everyone!
If you have been following the introductions of the new Bella Blvd. Design team, today is my turn on the Bella Blvd. Blog. I am so excited to to be part of their team. I love their playful designs, and it is very easy for me to create with their products. You will definitely need to stop by, because the designers featured today have AMAZING layouts to share with you!
I created the following Halloween ensemble to add to our Halloween decor. It is another twist on altering boxes, and simply stacking them to resemble a type of paper cake. They look adorable in the kitchen. I am a bit behind getting out all our decorations, and hope to wrap that up today.
Altered Stacked Boxes
The boxes I used are from JoAnn's, and they came in a package of about five. I cannot find the wrapper at the moment, but they were all different sizes nestled into one another. The Bella Collection I used was the Too Cute to Spook. What I loved most about this collection was the addition of the color white. I know such a simple color, but it really makes such an impact on this halloween paper. I loved having that neutral color, and simply building upon it.
a few details:
Here I used lollipop sticks to hold some fun whimiscal designs. A simple pinwheel, scallop circle, and the adorable chipboard ghost are so cute as the top's centerpieces.
The moon behind the flower is from the Oct. 31 Cricut Cartridge. I cut it out of cardstock, and finished it with glitter. The flower was originally white and yellow from the Blooms a Bella package. I used Cinder Tattered Angels Mist to completely change the color to a bold black.
The spider is part of a six package ensemble I picked up at Michael's. I thought it would look spooky on the white chipboard spider web. One thing I did try when covering the outside rims was to use spray adhesive. Then I dusted the glitter over it. My friend Jennifer gave me this tip. I did try it, and thought it gave a better coverage. However, it was a little too messy for me. So I painted the last two rims with black paint, and dusted the glitter on top. So, I will need to see my friend in action, because maybe I was a bit impatient! lol
Finally, I used the frightfully adorable sticker, and placed it on a white cardstock banner, and then embellished with a small pinwheel flower.
