Happy Friday!
Today is a BIG day for My Mind's Eye! They are celebrating their 2 Year Blog Birthday! Of course, they are celebrating the only way they know how, with a GRAND CELEBRATION!
It has been TWO years since they have started their blog! It is their Birthday, and YOU are invited to join the party! If you are just joining us, you may want to begin the blog hop at My Mind's Eye, so you make sure to visit each blog.
Today, My Mind's Eye is having a Blog Birthday Hop, and they are giving something BIG away! Did I mentioned it was BIG?? Are you ready? By playing along with MME, YOU could WIN ONE of EVERY New release shown last week!!
One lucky winner will win one of everything in MME: Six by Six, Mischievous, 12 Days of Christmas, Lost & Found Christmas AND Lost & Found 2! Think of all the lovely papercrafts you can create! You might even share with a friend. Well, you might! {*wink *wink}
July has been a month of excitement, and a calendar filled with daily activities. Now, my children have also attended summer school, so this added another detail to the calendar. Note to self: please do not enroll the kids in summer school next year! LOL Of course, I am thinking about myself, because my kids have truly enjoyed every day! Especially, Roman. This summer he decided to take up a new activity, learning how to play the electric guitar! It has been so much fun watching him practice, and ask questions each day. Tomorrow, is his last day of guitar practice at summer school. However, I will have a SURPRISE for him after school. He will continue his guitar lessons, and he will be very Surprised!
Now, I also like surprises, and I was very Surprised to find this Sunshine Collection in my box. I knew it would be perfect for this photo of Roman. The yellow in the papers just makes you happy! My son does make me very happy, and he truly has a heart of gold!
This is one of the pages I created for CHA,and I am looking forward to creating with the entire Lost & Found 2 Collection:
"I will love you forever"
details:
I love the gold, and black combination on these papers! The plaid is my favorite! Since it was a page about my sweet Roman, I chose to create circle medallions as my embellishments. I layered each one, and accented with stars. Now, the layered brad embellishments in the package, can be taken apart. Do not be afraid of mixing, and matching to create your own unique embellishment!
I really liked the notebook scallop border, and used it to anchor my photo. This paper had a vintage feel to it, so I decided to use a filmstrip diecut along the bottom. I originally was going to layer a different piece of patterned paper underneath each window. However, the one color of patterned paper seemed to be all my page needed.
Okay, here are some of the Blog Hop details:
- Start at the My Mind’s Eye blog, and “hop” on over to every blog you are sent to.
- Each of the fabulous designers will share a secret WORD with you. Gather each word as you visit the blogs.
- Leave a comment on each blog.
- At each blog, you will be directed to another blog. Be sure to visit and comment on each blog, to increase your chances of winning!
- When you hop back to the My Mind's Eye blog, leave a comment saying that you are done AND email all seven words to: amber@mymindseye.com. (don't include the words in your blog comment)
The blog hop will close Sunday, July 31, 2010 at midnight.
There will be two ways for you to win:
1) Grand prize: After visiting every blog, email Amber the secret words. One winner will receive one of everything in Summer CHA Release. (7 blogs = 7 words).
2) Bonus entry: We will randomly draw one of our designer’s blogs and draw one winner from the comments on that designer’s blog. This winner will receive the collection of their choice!
Good luck to all of you, and your next hop is over to the talented Tamara Jensen!!
Thanks for reading today, and may you have a "cool" weekend! It has been HOT the last few days. I am looking forward to the cooler months ahead. (I know, I have some time in front of me, but I can hope. Right?)
I loved your use of black and gold. What great photos. You didn't really say your secret word, so I'm guessing here. Thanks for participating!
