lucky me {Duetica Riley font & October Afternoon}

Well, I do feel lucky, because it is Friday! I am so excited to see the weekend finally here! We do have a few activities on our agenda, but they will be fun times! I may even find some creative time! Do you have scrapbooking plans, too?

Today, I have a card to share with you using the 5&Dime collection by October Afternoon! Can I just tell you that I love this line? It has been sitting on my desk for awhile, and decided it would be perfect for the following card. I did use one of the Duetica fonts to be the final details to this card!

Just in case anyone is wondering, yes I have tons of ribbon in my scrapbooking stash! However, it seems I am always reaching for this one! It is definitely one of my favorites, and I never tire of using it!
On this card, the lucky journaling spot from October Afternoon, was the inspiration. I decided to use the Duetica DT Riley font to create fun movement along the bottom. This font is one of my favorites, because it is a simple font. I tend to like straight up, and down fonts. The word ME on the card was created with the DT font. Then, with the click of my keyboard, I was able to create a whimsical design along the bottom. I love being able to twist, and turn ribbon. With the DT Riley font, you can do this too! (with text)

It was so easy, to be able to add my Duetica text to this journaling spot. Stars are a symbol of luck to me, so I added three red stars to finish the whimsical design!

OK I don't know if this is funny or weird but I just used that me me me me me me thing on a birthday card I just did for my June card kit. All I have to say is great minds think alike! Love your card!!!
