Good Morning!
I created this Envelope Mini for the Towbow, and Fancy Pants Blog Hop.(Blog Hop was actually last week, but you can {Click here} to see other creations by the DT.) This little mini used the It's the Little Things Collection. I know have written this before, but this is my favorite of the Fancy Pants releases.
You Make Me Smile Envelope Mini
I wanted to create a little book for my daughter, Gabriela. I wanted to make a quick little book, that she can keep on her nightstand. I included some of my favorite snapshots of her. I also included lots of journaling. I want her to know how much I love her, and how blessed I am to be her Mother.
In almost all my mini books, I include envelopes, tags, and journaling cards. Just little things to add more detail to my book. On the envelopes, I always create an enclosure out of two things: buttons, and string. This time, using Towbow's Fastener Tabs, it made opening my envelopes easy! You are able to pull them apart, and reach in to reveal the contents inside! I love them, and so glad to have them part of my scrapbooking stash!

Here are what the Fastener Tabs look like. They are so easy to apply, and you can embellish the flap with creative elements.
Here, I used the Sparkle it technique to add shine to the bird playing card. Because this element would be facing a snapshot, I added just a bit of felt in between. This way the snapshot is not ruined, or scratched. I have started to include pieces of felt in my albums, especially between snapshots.I have noticed if there is a brad or other harsh element across from a snapshot, it tends to scratch it. So adding a touch of felt, is a fabulous, and easy solution!
The little rounded chipboard tabs are part of the Banner Pieces Embellishment pack. They make cute banners, but can be used in so many creative ways!
