Summer Beach, Summer Fun {Beach Bum Fancy Pants}

Good morning, and Happy Thursday!

Today, I have a page featuring Beach Bum, by Fancy Pants! This collection is perfect for documenting your beach, and summer snapshots! The patterns, and colors of this collection are just wonderful! I do not like going to the beach, but I think a few visits this summer will be on the agenda!

This snapshot was taken in 2007. (Oh, I guess that is apparent on my page!) LOL We loved visiting a local beach club in our area! So many great memories when my children were little. He was not a strong swimmer, but he felt he needed the goggles just to play in the sand! Wonderful times!
a couple of details:

I included my journaling on the note tag, and anchored it to a larger journaling card. I loved the fish in this collection! I added a small star diecut to the larger fish. I added a bit of texture by embossing the red circle, and added layers of stars!

This sun was part of a journaling card. I began to trim around the sun, and then noticed it started to resemble a tab. So I only trimmed part, and anchored to the left of the page. Of course, more embossing, and star!

One of my favorite elements from their collections are the glitter diecuts! I finished my page with the water drops coming from the top of my title!

I hope you are enjoying your Thursday! It is a windy day over here, but I have lots to do before tomorrow. I am leaving for LA in the morning, so my to do list is a bit long.
I am wrapping a couple more projects, packing, restocking the kitchen, and ensuring that my children have their uniforms for this weekend. This was probably not the best weekend to go away. Roman has his Communion meeting, baseball meeting,basketball meeting, and a birthday party to attend. Macie, and Gabi both have a cheer competition on Sunday! 
So now that I am thinking about it, maybe I should not be leaving! LOL My husband is amazing, and everything will be just fine!
Tomorrow morning, I will be taking the Copic Certification class. This will be a fabulous start to my weekend!

To the Moon {Fancy Pants}

To the Moon is out of this world! I love, love this collection from Fancy Pants! As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to create a small home decor item for my son! Gears, and robots are all things my little boy loves! I decided to alter a small magnet board for his room.

"Out of this World" Magnet Board

I found an inexpensive magnet board at my local store. I layered the top with one of the 12 x 12 papers in this collection, cut down to size. Now the three circles on the bottom were a fuzzy neon color. So I decided to pull in cork for my project. Using my diecutter machine, I cut three perfect size circles, and adhered with adhesive. To finish them, I added three small punched gears with buttons.

Within this collection is a pack of embellishment diecuts! How cute are those robots? I adhered a small round magnet to the back of them, and also to the rectangle card. Now my son can display his favorite baseball cards, or all the small treasures he likes to collect. Note: The circle on the large robot, actually was included with the board! I thought it blended well with the papers, so it stayed!

A peek of the dimension on the project! Now, as an afterthought, the Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears would be perfect for anchors, or embellishing details in the centers of the preprinted gears!!! 
I cannot wait to hang this in my son's room! He loves his scrapbook pages, and he loved this little board too! (That makes me happy!)

Seaside Escape {Beach Babe Fancy Pants}

Good morning!
Here is one of Fancy Pants Newest CHA collections called Beach Babe! I fell in love with the bold, and vibrant colors of this collection. On the left hand side of the page, you may notice one of their newest embellishments, filter papers! They are similar to coffee filters, but the designs are perfect! I also loved the weight of them. Making them perfect to emboss, stitch, mist, crumple, ink, etc! I know this will need to be a staple in my stash!

Love- Brad Spotlight {My Mind's Eye}

Good morning!
How was your weekend? I spent Saturday in Pasadena watching Miss Macie perform at a cheer competition. I am happy to write that her team won 1st place, out of ten competing teams!!! I was so proud of her! They looked fabulous! Of course, I think the parents were more excited than the girls! We celebrated at Rip Tide later that evening with Steve.

Yesterday, was a gorgeous day! The kids, and I went to lunch. Then we walked around a local lake, and ended the afternoon with a snow cone!  I did end up at the movie theatre last night to watch The Dilemma. I expected more of a comedy, and to me it was a little dark. I was disappointed, because I am a fan of Kevin James. However, I did have a wonderful weekend of spending time with my family.

So now here it is Monday, and I am in the final stretch of CHA projects. Today, I will be working with My Mind's Eye. Last week, I completed three layouts, one small boy's home decor item, and a Valentine banner in about three days. I love the new releases from Fancy Pants!!!!

Today, I have a card that was featured on the My Mind's Eye Blog. My assignment was "brads." I decided to create a card using the Lost & Found Collection. (featuring Union Square)

 

Supplies: Lost & Found Collection, Brown Lush Rhinestones, crepe paper
I love layers on my projects, so this time I used the brads as my final layer on top of the heart. I created a smaller outline of a heart inside the cream heart. I used brads, in combination of rhinestones to create the heart outline. To add more texture to this card, I added crepe paper ruffled in the background.

Just wanted to wish you a very "sweet" day! Today, wrapping up a few projects for CHA! Looking forward to sharing them with you soon! Pulled out my pink notebook, as a sweet reminder! (Of course, cannot scrapbook without something a little sweet!)
I am loving all the new product, and they are revealing sneak peeks of the new collections on the Fancy Pants Blog! Beach Babe is currently the paper I am creating with today! Love this paper! Perfect for your fun summer memories!

Perfect 10 {My Mind's Eye}

This page was created for the Monthly Top 10 at My Mind's Eye! I used one of my favorite Christmas Collections, Holly Jolly! I decided to document our highlight of December, Sammy! Sammy is the newest addition to our family, and we are so happy this little guy! (However, I have learned to close the door to my scrapbooking room, so he does not use my ribbon as a chewing toy!)
Macie simply cannot put him down, and sometimes forgets that he is not a doll. I was able to capture this sweet snapshot on Christmas morning!
a couple of details:

I layered two flowers on top of a cream circle. I added texture to the circle by using a snowflake embossing folder. In the center of the flower, I used a clear acrylic button and a red circle from the Holly Jolly diecut sheet. 

Layered two journaling elements together, and finished with my favorite ribbon! I think I bought about 10 yards of this color! Wish I could remember where I bought the ribbon! 
Well, I hope to be very productive today! I have all these beautiful papers around me, and pages need to be created!

Puppy Love {Pebbles Inc.}

Happy Tuesday!

It is "Make Mine a Double Week" on the Pebbles Blog. It is all about Two Pages this week! So if you need a jumpstart, hop on over to the Pebbles Blog. 
I have not created a two page in such a long time. This has definitely been on my list of to do's. So  very excited that a two page was one of my assignments.

"Puppy Love"
I was finally able to use the Cats & Dogs Collection to document these sweet snapshots of Macie with Sammy. Sammy is our new addition to our family. Macie has truly developed a love for him. Except, she sometimes handles him, like he was a doll. Sammy has been a good sport, and he will definitely be the subject of many pages.

Okay, sorry for the short post, but I have CHA assignments that need to be created! Note to self: please  do not attempt to reorganize your room with CHA two weeks away! It was probably not a good decision on my part, but at least my room is clean, and purged of some items. I was able to organize all my stamps back into binders. I think my acrylic stamps have been organized in three different ways! However, binders are how they were originally stored, and now they have returned to this storage idea!

"Be Mine" 7Gypsies Tray Home Decor {Pebbles}

Good morning!
Today, on the Pebbles Blog it is Free For All Friday! Well, nine times out of ten, I will create a home decor project. I purchased the 7Gypsies tray a few months ago, and was saving it so I could create a Valentine's Decor item for the Home. I love altering these trays, so a mixture of beautiful embellishments, and my lovely children are the perfect combination!! A friend of mine asked how many of these trays do I own? Not many, but they all have a plan(:

I used the Twitterpated Collection to create the twelve individual panels. I pulled in a sweet collection of embellishments. I used a bit of fabric, ribbon, Pebbles Envelope, felt flowers, tiny spools, stamping,doily, and a heart shaped cookie cutter.  What I love most about the Twitterpated Collection, is that it reminds me of traditional Valentine Colors! It is bright, whimsical, with touches of my favorite color, Pink!
a few details:

 I used the Twitterpated 3x3 cards, and punched out a heart shape from one of the sentiments. Layering it with a doily, is the perfect finishing detail!

With the majority of my projects, you are going to see a bit of stamping, and inking. 

 On the far right panel, I scored the paper. I love the added dimension it gives my project!

More stamping details, and I added a little "shine" to the stamped image! I will show you how easy it is to add "shine" to your own creations next week.

I love using the Sizzix 3D Flower die on felt! So easy to create your own flower creations! I love adding fun, unique items to these trays, and when I saw the cookie cutter, I knew it was perfect! Adding bits of ribbon to tiny spools makes this panel complete!

I did use a paper jewelry  box to give lift to the be mine panel! I applied adhesive, and dusted it with glitter. It fit perfectly inside!!
