Scrappin' the Details

Happy Thursday

Hello!!!! It has been a challenging two weeks without my computer. It has been tucked away at the Tech Room in Costa Mesa, for some repair.(Which explains my absence) Unfortunately, when I received it, there were other issues. (I will not go into the details, you would not believe it!) LOL Anyway, they are still working on them, so hopefully, I will be back to some type, of  a blogging schedule next week. (:
I thought I would give you a quick update, while I still I have it!  In the meantime, here is a sneak peek of a layout I designed for Pebbles using the Twitterpated Collection. I simply love this collection!!!! The patterned papers are beautifully designed! As soon as I am able to, I will share the entire page! (I do dislike sneak peeks,too!)

Happy Friday!!! This card went up on the Pebbles Blog today! I love the TreeHouse Collection.One of the new additions to the Pebbles lines, are the 3x3 cards. I struggle with cards. So having the sentiments already designed for you, makes the card process simple!
This line also reminds me, of school, and may have to create a school page soon! I hope you enjoy the weekend ahead! 
I  am off to finish the scrapbook pages for Gabi's class, and help face paint in Roman's class. We are all looking forward to his Bumblebee performance in the school play! Hopefully, I will take a few good snapshots. I recently purchased a new camera,and now have to learn all that it can do! (So thankful to have a lense, finally!!!) The other two are still two weeks from being returned! LOL
Patience is a virtue, right??

Busy, Busy, Busy {as a Bee}

Happy Thursday! I know it has been quiet around here this week. It has been a whirlwind of events for my family.
It has been a fun week, but I have had to do a little adjusting with our schedules. Both of my girls are back in Cheer. However, this season, their schedules are further apart, and longer. Gabi does not finish until very late. This has adjusted our normal dinner time. One of my steadfast rules, is that we eat as a family every night. We have always done this, and I value this time with my family at the dinner table. I know my children will be busier with homework, and activities as they get older, but we will always adjust to have dinner as a family. 
We usually eat around 6:30, or 7:00pm. However, a couple of days we will now be eating around 5pm. This has definitely made me plan better, and ensure our dinner is made by 4:30. So far everyone, has adjusted well with the new time. Some of us are a little hungry at 7pm!  LOL 
The girls also had  activities that were scheduled at the same time yesterday. Gabi had a choir concert, and Macie had an Open House at her preschool.

Steve, and I decided that one of us would have to attend one, and miss the other. it was a difficult decision not to be able to do both, but the two events were very important to the girls. I went with Miss Macie to her preschool Open House, and it was bittersweet for me. I knew this would be our last Open House at this school. All of my children have attended the same preschool, and I will miss them dearly. They have been so good to my children, and my family! I know I will be crying at the Year End Picnic.
Let us see, Roman had a field trip, and has a baseball game tonight. He has two more games, and cannot believe the improvement he has made. He is also a BumbleBee in a class play tomorrow. I think I spent the most energy on finding his costume. I will not go into the details, but I felt like it was my wedding dress nightmare, all over again! Let us just say, we now have two Bumblebee costumes!  LOL
I have been busy preparing for Gabi's classroom scrapbook album. I was in charge of putting together packets of supplies, so the  children could put together their pages. I was very surprised that it went so well. The boys really enjoyed scrapbooking, and I think they had the most fun! One of the boys, even asked me,if he could have a few of the star brads. I am not sure for what purpose, but let us hope it is for a good one! Tonight, I will be spending a few more hours, scrapbooking a couple of more pages for the book.
Now I have been so busy that, I have not had time to open this:


My IPad has arrived! I did not expect it's arrival, but my sweet husband surprised me with one! I cannot wait to open it, and play with all the features! One of my favorite things to learn, was that all my books on my Kindle, can be transferred onto my new gadget. I was relieved because I am an avid reader, and have dozens of books saved.

Isn't she lovely {Crate Pink Plum Collection}

Good morning! Happy Monday! If you celebrated Mother's Day, I hope you had a blessed day!! I enjoyed breakfast with my family, and an afternoon of relaxation! It was wonderful, not to worry about anything for a few hours! LOL
Today, I am sharing a layout I designed using the Pink Plum Collection by Crate. (I gave a sneak peek on Friday) It is full of pinks, and oranges! I really do love this collection! For this layout, I used a snapshot of Miss Macie from last summer. I had taken about two hundred snapshots of her one afternoon, and I cannot believe how I missed this one! I love that it captured her sweet beauty, and playful attitude.

I used a combination of Prima, and Crate to create this page! Few supplies on this page, but it has become one of my favorites!
A few details:

These flowers by Prima, are just gorgeous! The flowers I used for this layout can be found here! I will be ordering another package! They matched this paper perfectly!  The pink flower, was the same size, as the orange, so I simply cut a few layers off from the bottom. (It was not easy for me to do this!) LOL I disliked manipulating, this gorgeous bloom! I added some simple brown ribbon to finish embellishing the bottom of the page!Now for my favorite new handmade embellishment, a scallop butterfly! I think this is my favorite element on this page, besides the snapshot, of course! I love layers, and textures on my pages, so I added a few to the center of the butterfly. It was really simple to make this scallop butterfly, as you can probably see by the photo. I will be writing a short tutorial, on the scallop butterfly, sometime this week. You can make them in all sizes, and have so much fun embellishing the centers! The antennas came from the diecut sheet from this collection.

"Bee Happy" {Adornit}

Happy Friday everyone! Today, I have another layout to share using Adornit! I love, love their papers! They are simply gorgeous, and have lovely details to them! You do not have to embellish too heavily, the papers speak for themselves.

I kept this page pretty simple. I added a few details, by adding some hand stitching to the top of the page, and embellishing the centers of the flowers on the paper. Adornit has beautiful ribbons too, so I added a coordinating ribbon, to the bottom of the flowers to add some texture. (I am all about twisting, and turning my ribbon at the moment.) 
Thanks again to Adornit, for having me on their blog! I had so much fun designing with their papers! I now have completed pages for my album!
Time for me to step away from the computer, I have a huge list of things to accomplish! Before I go, here is a sneak peek of a layout, I created with Crate's Pink Plum Collection! I had so much fun creating this page!(I think it is one of my favorites!) The color combination of pinks, and oranges, is fabulous!

"Play" {Adornit}

Good morning! It is Thursday! So happy to see the weekend, right around the corner!  Today, I have another layout that I created for the Adornit Blog. I loved the Jamboree Collection, because the patterns were the perfect match, for my little boy! I love the playful mix, and stars on the paper. I really did have a great time, creating this page with my favorite elements-stars, and circles! With added metal, and a little ink, this layout captured the personality of my, 100% boy!

A couple of details:

(I inked and distressed my circles, to give more texture to my page) 

I used the same concept here, by building on top of the stars ,and on the circles on the paper. With some simple cardstock, stickers, and metal, you will have  fabulous embellishments for your page.

Guest Blogger for Adorn-it

Happy Tuesday! I am the Guest Blogger at Adornit this week! I had so much fun creating projects with the beautiful papers they sent me! Here is one of the pages I created:
"Co-Pilot"

I was immediately drawn to these Travel papers!  My sweet Roman, loves airplanes, so it was a perfect combination!
A few details:

One of my favorite things about Adornit papers, is the beautiful artwork! I simply stitched along a few of the lines on the paper. The embellishment clusters are all stickers,adhered with pop dots.

The scallop border strip is actually a sticker.(another of my favorite elements from their sticker sheet)

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day. Today, it is bittersweet for me. Gabi is going on an overnight trip with her school. I have mixed emotions. I know she needs to go, because it is an educational experience. However, I am not ready to let her go! It was a difficult decision to agree to this trip. I know she will be safe, and in a loving environment. It will be a restless day, and evening! LOL

Favorite Five {5} & Giveaway

Happy Monday!!! I hope you had a wonderful National Scrapbooking Weekend! I was hoping to find some time for creative play, but the weather was gorgeous! I spent some time with the kids outside, enjoyed a Disney Marathon, and it was a weekend of birthday parties!! I also enjoyed a delicious dinner with my family at my favorite restaurant. It was a weekend of nonstop activity, but wonderful. 
Today,I thought I would share with you my Favorite 5 scrapbooking items. Every now, and then there are scrapbooking items that I find myself using over and over. Here are a few of my favorites:

1. Glimmer Mists by Tattered Angels-I only have a few in my collection, but I am having fun, adding a splash of color to my projects.
2. My new tool caddy that sits on my desk! I used to have the Pottery Barn tool carousel, but my tools kept falling out! I love the deepness of the inserts, and can find everything quickly, while I am scrapbooking.  (Best part is that I was able to buy it at 50% off at Michaels!) It is also fun to give it a spin! LOL  
3. The Treehouse Collection by Pebbles- I love the colors, and the cute owls on the paper! The flower additions to their lines, are just gorgeous. I cannot wait to play with this collection! (I do have an assignment due on Friday, so I will have my chance.)  (: 
4. Martha Stewart Scoring Board-I love this new board, and it is so much easier to use, than my old one. It also has a great little compartment at the top, to store the scoring tool.  
5. Finally, you know I love my punches!!! I cannot scrapbook without them! I have been an avid collector for a very long time! I love layers on my projects, so I am loving all the new border punches by EK Success!
