American Crafts & Pebbles Product Swap(Final Day)

It is the final day of the Pebbles, and American Crafts Product Swap! I have loved this week on the Pebbles Blog! There has been a fantastic array of projects, different styles, and inspiration each day! Our design team coordinator, Lynn Ghahary is doing such a fantastic job on the blog! (Check out her work!!! I love her scrapbooking style!)
I can share the layout, that I gave you a sneak peek on Monday! I combined the Botanique Collection, by American Crafts, and the May Bouquet from Pebbles. These two companies are a perfect match, and I will say it again, so easy to design your page!
"Sugar & Spice"

This snapshot of Macie was taken last spring. I love this snapshot of her, because her expression says it all. She is such a sweet and loving little girl. However, she is always full of surprises. She says things, out of the blue, that kind of take me by surprise. She has found a new way of tugging at my heart. When she has done something that might be a little naughty, or if she is wanting something, all she has to do is look at me with those deep brown eyes! My new nickname for her, is Brown Eyes. She definitely keeps all of us on her toes!!!
A few details:

I am loving the doiles, I found at Michaels. The Botanique papers were feminine, and elegant, that the doilies added a bit of softness to the page.  Of course, I can never leave anything alone. The doilies were white, so I used Glimmer Mist on them, to change the color. Again, you  can see the bits of color peeking through, and this added the "spice" to my page.

I stitched along the top edges of the doilies, and added pearls to give this page a touch of elegance. One of my favorite techniques, is to hang embellishments on my pages. I hung this tiny tag, from the American Crafts Flair Brad, and finished it with a pearl flower. (That cute white photo corner is from Martha Stewart.)

Bazzill iPhone/iPod Touch Application {Things I Love}

I will admit that Bazzill, cardstock is the only cardstock I use on my projects! I love their textures, and my favorite color is natural. (I know it is a basic color, but it is a perfect match to many of my favorite papers!) Now, look at what they have released for their Bazzill fans:

I was so happy to stumble across this news, and I had to share it with you! (Of course, I know not everyone will have an iPhone/iPod Touch) Here are some of the app's features:

-Browse over 500 Bazzill cardstock colors alphabetically by name.
-Browse over 500 Bazzill cardstock colors visually by color family.
-Browse over 500 Bazzill cardstock colors grouped by texture family.
-Easy access to RGB and CMYK values for over 500 cardstock colors.

American Crafts & Pebbles Product Swap {Day Three}

Here is one of my layouts I created with American Crafts, and Pebbles:
"Sunkissed Summer"

I paired Treehouse by Pebbles, and added bits of Heat Wave/Adobe, by American Crafts.  It is amazing how well these two collections work together. Their color palettes are a perfect match! It makes the designing process so much faster!

I have not played with stickers in a long time. I am not sure why, because it was so much fun embellishing the Swell Stickers by American Crafts. I added some glitter candy dots by Pebbles, (they now have glitter candy dots!!!) to add dimension to them. Of course, my project would not be complete without pop dots! I added just a tiny bit of sewing along the bottom of the wave border.

"Soar" Mini Banner (Dear Lizzy, Jenni Bowlin, Martha Stewart)

Hi! Today, I am finally sharing my mini banner! I created this banner about two weeks ago. I used the Dear Lizzy Collection by American Crafts. I had a really fun time creating this little banner! I added bits of Prima, Martha Stewart, tulle, and some Glimmer Mist to add some finishing touches. I cannot wait for its return, so it can find a home in my scrapbooking room!
I decided on the word "Soar." I am loving butterflies at the moment, and came across a $1.00 stamp at Michaels with this word. I loved it, and thought it would be the perfect word for inspiration!

Details of the individual panels:

The butterfly is from Jenni Bowlin, and the flowers are from Prima. They were actually a pink color, but I decided to paint them with yellow acrylic paint. I added a touch of glitter to them, while the paint was still wet.  

I used Glimmer Mist, on the small tag. I stamped the tag first with a background stamp, using Versamark. I then misted with my favorite color at the moment(Sunflower), and stamped the sentiment. You can see the faint details of the background stamp, on the small tag.

I wanted a banner with five panels, so I inserted this in the middle of the letters. I painted a large chipboard butterfly, and embellished with a white Jenni Bowlin button. Of course, I am all about the ribbon right now, so I used this yummy ribbon from Stampin UP.
 

I added a fun new embellishment that I found at  Michaels. They are the small wooden spools. I gave them a quick pink wash, and inserted them throughout the banner.

I used this stamp here, on the background of the cardstock. It is from Prima Marketing. I love this stamp. I have been looking for a musical note stamp, and so glad to have found it!
Thanks for taking a peek at my project. I hope you are enjoying the day. I am meeting friends for lunch,and taking Miss Macie to the park. Then it is baseball for Roman, and Gabi has cheer tryouts today. (She actually has three days to attend) I am praying that she can find calmness. She is a little nervous, but I know she will do fantastic. She is an amazing tumbler, and performer. Miss Macie does not have to try out, and we will be anxiously waiting to see who her teammates are this season.

American Crafts & Pebbles Product Swap

Happy Monday! This week is going to be full of inspiration and fun on the Pebbles Blog! Pebbles, has teamed up with their parent company, American Crafts, to bring you projects that featured both American Crafts, and Pebbles!!! The Pebbles designers, are going to show you how easy it is, to mix these two fabulous manufacturers! my technical issues continue........

Happy Wednesday!! Please ignore the post regarding the Adornit Blog Hop. This occurred in November of last year!  LOL I was trying to replace the images with another image, and somehow it has reposted for today. I am working from another computer, which may explain the mixup!  LOL I simply wanted to replace the images, so I would not have to remove the entire post. Oh, well. It did not work!

Just a little about myself.  My name is Suzanne, and I am currently living in Southern California.  I took a little hiatus from my blog, due to the recent move.  I was in Texas(my hometown), the last year.  I have been here three months, and I realize California is home! (I will always be a Texas girl at heart!)  I am married, and have three beautiful children.  I absolutely love this hobby!
It is a Making It Merry Blog Hop, and it is the most wonderful time of the year! Halloween, Thanksgiving, NBA Basketball, NFL Football, and Christmas, are my favorite times of the year!  I love it all!! I want to share with you my current, LOL, favorite project for the holidays!  
This idea transpired from the Halloween Banner I designed last year.  I used the Making Memories Kit, and added my own touches!  I knew immediately the paper I wanted to use when I first saw it!  I love the colors of  Mistletoe by Making Memories! These are the colors that I use, to decorate for the holidays!  I wanted to make a similar banner, that had details, here and there. However, I realized that the area I wanted to hang the banner, would not work.  (We hang our stockings over the mantle.) I decided to create the same idea, however, using picture frames to hold my individual panels.  Framed scrapbook art is really big right now. Well, I think it is, anyway! LOL
I originally wanted to attached them together. However, my friend(Jeannette), suggested if they were freestanding, I would have the ability to change how they are displayed!  Loved it!
Here is my Making It Merry Project:  "St. Nick" Altered Christmas Frames

 
They were really simple to make, and I am inspired to make one for Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day, and Halloween.  I can see one called Spooky, right now! They make such a beautiful display, and would make great gifts too! You can use them every year! This project will be a beautiful addition to your home decor, and can be set on a table, shelf, mantle, counter, etc!
