This the last of the book! I hope you have enjoyed seeing the pages! I had a great time with this paper line from Pink Paislee, that I am finishing a few layouts with this collection.  I bought four new border punches, yesterday! (Shhhhhhh!) Three of them are from Martha Stewart!  I will be playing with them today! If you have not been to Michaels, try and stop by! You will find lots of Valentine goodness!  I love my punches!

Love {Notes} Mini Album...(part one)

Happy Monday!!!  Today, I am sharing my Love {Notes} Mini album.  I love the Cupid line from Pink Paislee, and used it throughout my book. I used wood covers from Kaiser Craft, and inserted my own cut chipboard pages. I used five pages for the inside. I kept my design pretty simple, but added bits of detail throughout. It is an album full of Valentine happiness!

Throughout the album, I tried tucking in special places to write love notes to my children. I simply, filled it with snapshots from our recent Valentine's photos shoot. So thankful that my children enjoy having their photos taken!

Pebbles DT Handwriting Challenge

Samantha, is the hostess on the Pebbles Blog this week.  She challenged the DT members to use their own handwriting on their projects. I will admit, that I seldom write on my scrapbook pages.  I think it is because I am not too fond of my writing! However, I do feel it is important to include my own handwriting in our scrapbooks! I have a letter from my Mother written to me when I was eighteen.  This is a precious gift, and I am so happy to have this letter. I decided to sign up for this challenge. I used a snapshot of Gabriela, from our Valentine's Photo Shoot to create this page. I had difficulty photographing this layout.  I tried every technique I knew, and still could not get the color just right.  I finally had to just let it go!  So I  hope that you may find some inspiration in the design of the layout!  I used the fabulous line, Linnie Bell!

Pardon the Mess

Cupcake Anyone?

Last night, was the Instuctor Preview at  Timeless Treasures. If you had the opportunity to come by, then you would agree, there were fun projects displayed!! I designed a mini album for my class, called Love {Notes}.  There was a small peek of the cover on yesterday's post.  I decided to bring sweet cupcakes to add to my display.   Of course, you cannot send a cupcake undressed, so I made fun little cupcake toppers. Here are a few details of them:

Now to the title of my post.  No one would take a cupcake!  Can you imagine? I can never say no to a sweet treat! I overheard a few people, say that they did not want to ruin the display!  LOL I brought them for the customers, but ended up begging people to take them home! I was able to bring one for Macie.  She actually called me on my cell phone, and pleaded for one! Luckily, there were  lots to go around!

I wanted to give you an idea of what happens at a preview.  Here I am describing what we would be creating in class.  You will receive all the product you need to complete it. I do a lot of the prep work. However, there are a few things, we will do in class. Hopefully, there will be a technique or two, that you have not tried before!  It is always so much fun, when you can learn something new.  My scallop paper flowers, for an example, will be done in class. Cannot wait to share my simple technique for these fun flowers. I thought it would be fun to give them a name, so how about Suzanne's Scallop Flowers?

It was a night full of laughs, and creativity!  I am going to try and find some time to relax and renew today. Wishful thinking!  LOL
I will share more of the mini album tomorrow. I will also list the photo sizes that I used, throughout my book. (Some of you wanted to know, so you could bring your photos to the class.) The Love {Notes} mini album class is February 6 from 1-5. The cost is $45.00.  As a special treat, each person taking the class will get supplies to make a few cupcake toppers!

Love is in the Air

Valentine's Day will soon be here! Pink Paislee's  new Cupid line, is perfect for this holiday of love!!  I have been playing in my studio, designing an album to document the special "loves", in my life!  I am very happy with the final outcome! I will share the pages, and more details, later this week. For now, here is a little sneak peek:

I am teaching this mini album class, at Timeless Treasures on February 6th.(The month of Love) LOL If you live here in Orange County,come on by tonight for the store's Preview of Instructor Classes.  You might want to take one, two, or more classes! Beautiful projects to see! Come by between 7-9!

Suzanne's Top 10 (Ten) of 2009

I thought it would be fun to  share my favorite projects for 2009.  There are two reasons for this: 

1. I feel that in the year of 2009, I have scrapbooked more, than in previous years. This occurred to me while I was sorting through them.(I desperately need to buy albums!)  I have made it a priority, to schedule time to scrap a layout or two.(I may have to sacrifice, and let a few things, go in the process! LOL)  
2. As I was blog surfing, I saw that many also shared their favorite projects too! (Great idea for a post, and will be a great reminder of my favorites!)

Now, except for the first project, they are listed, in no particular order.

"Cute & spunky" is my favorite layout, because it was one of the projects that I submitted for the Pebbles Design Team.  I feel very blessed to be part of an amazing group of women.  Thanks, Pebbles for letting me be a part of it!!!

Okay, there they are!  I really do love, that I have documented these memories! My family can go back and remember where we were, what they were doing, and the things that were important to them! I did realize, that I did not scrapbook as many two pagers, as I have in the past!  This is definitely one of my goals this year!

I had so much fun making these frames for Christmas, and cannot wait to pull them out next year!

Happy 2010(SNOW Much fun)

I want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year!! We were able to spend a wonderful evening with friends!  I do not think I have laughed so hard in a very long time! Lots of fun memories to be had all the way around! The best part, was ringing in the New Year, with my family! I hope your day was memorable, too!
I have been busy spending time with my family, so that has left me little time to scrap! I am not complaining one bit. I love having my children with me! (However, I have a couple of projects that are due! LOL) I will be working around the clock this weekend! Wish me luck! 
We did find some time to play in the snow!  This was the first time, my children have seen it!  It was a last minute trip, and I will be honest, I do not do well with spontaneity! I am a planner, considering we are not, Snow people!  However, I am so happy that we made this short trip! The look on my children's faces, was priceless! (The only thing I disliked was the stress the night before, trying to find snow gear!) It all worked out in the end!
