It is a SUMMER PARTY, and I want to share with you, one of my favorite Summer projects! I created a 12x12 layout of my darling little girl, on the first day of Summer.

This page was pretty easy to complete.  I loved the patterned paper, so I did not embellish too heavily.  I did not want to take away from the beautiful artwork.  I added the dots from the letter sheets, and put a couple, in the center of the flowers!

The flowers on this paper, are gorgeous! The black scallop, is actually a sticker border from their sticker sheet!  How fun is that?

Celebrate The Good Times Thursday

It is a celebrating kind of Thursday, and I have a card that I created for this special occasion!  It is called,"Celebrate."  I used the Making Memories Giggle collection for this card.  I love the colors, and it is so easy to work with.  The card I posted yesterday, follows this same design.  If you feel something works, then why venture too far off?  LOL
The dimensions of my card are 6x6.  I am liking this size a lot!

I did pleat the paper in 1" increments going vertical as you can see.

Boo!

With all the CHA Sneak Peeks of Halloween Lines, I was inspired to create a Halloween Card.  Let me begin, by apologizing for the photo!  Halloween is my favorite time of year, and I cannot wait to get my hands on a few lines.  A few that I have caught my attention are by Making Memories, My Little Yellow Bicycle,Fancy Pants, and My Mind's Eye.  
I designed a card using SEI's Eerie Alley from last year. 

 If anyone has tips on how to photograph purple please let me know! LOL  I kept the design of this card pretty clean lined. I used the same design from another card I created for a friend. I will share that card with you tomorrow.

Today I was hoping to work on a layout that is due tomorrow, but first, my husband, phoned with things I need to accomplish!  LOL I am getting a little nervous here.  This year has flown by, and I cannot believe I will be moving soon.  I am happy, scared, nervous, and to be honest, stressed.  I have to slow down, and remind myself to take it one day at a time! Easier said than done! LOL

Happy Monday!

Can I just say, I loved all of them!  Lots of inspiration!  This was my first time to participate in a challenge, and it was fun!  Hopefully, I will have time to do future challenges.  What a great way to complete pages!  LOL I really do appreciate everyone that stops by! Have a Happy Monday!

My Mind's Eye Breaking Free Challenge

I wanted to share a layout I created for the My Mind's Eye Breaking Free Challenge.  I fell in love with this collection when I first saw it at Archivers.  I immediately was drawn to the "Sisters" collection.  Since I have daughters, I purchased this line, but put it away until I found the right pictures I wanted to scrapbook.  Well, I came across their challenge on their blog, and knew this was the incentive I needed to design a layout.  As I was scrolling through my photos, I realized that I did not have photos of my two girls together! I was disappointed, because Gabi and Macie are my little girls!  They are so different, but share some of the same characteristics.  Macie adores her big Sis, and follows her around constantly! As I was looking at the red polka dot paper, it triggered my memory that I had a photo on my memory card! I snapped the photo of the two of them, as we were heading to the movies. Macie's face is priceless.  She cannot sit still for a moment.  She is always laughing, and I feel the photo,captured the moment perfectly! It might not be a technically perfect photo, but that is okay.
The layout is called: "Sisters."  For this challenge you need to use products from their Breaking Free Collection.   I really tried to stay within those parameters, allowing myself a little bit of creative freedom.

What I love about My Mind's Eye, is that they design everything you need to complete a layout.  The paper, embellishments, diecut titles, and journaling tags are done for you.  All you have to do is put it together!  LOL  This layout came together fairly quickly for me.  I did try a new technique of pleating my paper, and stitching down the middle to hold my pleats in place.  I added stitching to my diecut title, to make it pop.{I know, I was challenging myself not to stitch on a future layout, but it could not be helped!  LOL} 
Here are few more details:

I did use Pearl Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels, on the diecut flowers.  My friend, Jeannette, loves this spray.  So I decided to give it a try.  I do like the shimmer it gave to the flowers, therefore I loved the end result.  I can see myself using this on future projects.

Things I am loving right now

I thought it would be fun to share a few things that I am loving right now.  Of, course scrapbooking supplies of all kinds, are cause for inspiration.

Right now the following items are on the top of my list!

American Crafts Thickers!  I love them, and cannot seem to scrapbook a page without them!

I am sure you probably have noticed them on the last two layouts!  You will see them again, on a layout I designed for Pebbles.  I went back to the store, and bought more!  I like them that much!  LOL

Wooden big Background Stamps- These two are favorites, and cannot wait to use them!

Pebbles Chips -Seriously, you get a huge assortment of chipboard shapes!  Wish they manufactured alphabets.

Pebbles Candy Dots - Okay, do not tell anyone, but I thought they were brads! LOL They are so much better.  You just peel, and stick!  They add fantastic dimension so easily!  Love, love, love these!

Finally, I saved the BIG ONE for last!  The Epic by Quickutz!!  

I know there are mixed reviews on this, but so far, I have not experienced any problems.  I really thought long on hard on this purchase.  I have two revolutions, packed away in CA. (I won one!)  I have been using the old model Big Shot by Sizzix.  

However, I destroyed the cutting mat, when I tried to roll something that did not make it happy!  LOL  So I justified the cost of a new Sizzix mat, versus the Epic.  I was able to use a coupon, and felt this would be a better investment!  I am receiving a free die through the mail, and the store gave me this one too:

I love this die, or anything that has an owl! However, I already own him!  So he just might be a giveaway next week!  (Hint.Hint)

I am happy to say that I completed two projects for Pebbles.  I have a few things I am working on at the moment, so hoping to find time this weekend to complete them. Gabi has a birthday party/sleepover this weekend, and Macie's preschool is planning a carnival.  So it looks like a busy, but fun weekend!

Making Memories Giggle Kids

I have one cropper hopper filled with random photos.  This was all I had time to gather, as we were moving to Texas last year.  Of, course I have photos on my computer. However, the box contains photos that I had printed prior to moving. There is something about handling a photo, than merely viewing it on your screen.  I really need to develop a better organizational method in having my pictures printed. That is another post!  LOL 

I am happy, I chose to bring this box. You might remember that Roman loves looking at albums.  I was not able to bring any of my completed albums, so all I have our random pictures. {I do have completed pages, since I have been here. Now they need an album.}  Every so often, he loves digging through the box, and looking back at all the memories.  He is such a gentle soul! I really enjoy, and admire his tenderness.

He truly appreciates all the pages, I complete of him.  He saw me working on some scrapbook projects,of course, he was excited, it was about him!  He then decided to grab a photo from the box, and chose a photo when he played Tee Ball.

I could not resist scrapbooking this photo.  I wish I was able to capture the moment, when the coach announced that he was the player of the game!  Of course, all the boys have their opportunity to receive this special ball.  Roman did not know any different. When the coach said Roman's name, the look on his face was priceless.  A missed photo opportunity!  However, I do have this memory.

The layout is called Game Ball using Making Memories Giggle Kids.  This paper is pretty busy, so I kept it pretty clean lined.  I used very few embellishments on this page.

Love the paper that has all the numbers!  I simply cut a portion of what I wanted, adhered it to cardstock, and it was done!

Today is going to be very low key!  The kids are going to go swimming.  I am going to try and complete one last project for Pebbles, and maybe read a book tonight!

Photo of the Week

Okay, I know it is only Tuesday, but I wanted to share a couple of photos, of what is happening in the Sergi household.  It has been a fun, and busy summer.  However, we do enjoy our downtime. We absolutely love Pajamas Days!  They have been a long time tradition of ours.  There are only two rules:  You must stay in your pajamas, and you can do whatever you would like.  As long as it does not cause you, or others harm!

We received our first Pebbles Design Team challenge. Yesterday, I proclaimed a Pajama Day, so I could begin designing.  So while I was trying to get my layout to come together, this is what Macie was doing:

She was playing with her stuff animals, and began lining them in front of the door.  

They were getting ready for a parade!  She is so funny, and melts my heart each time I look at her adorable face! 

Now behind that adorable face, is a mischievous smile.  She knows that Roman has a few special stuff animals.  He is very protective of them, and takes extreme care with them.  Once, Roman figured out, that Macie was using his animals for the parade, he began to remove them!

Sorry for the fuzziness of the photo, he was moving that fast to retrieve them! 

I was able to complete my project for Pebbles.  I created a 12x12 layout using their new release Lil Buddy!  I had so much fun working with the paper, and embellishments.  As soon as we get the okay to share, I will post it soon.  You are in for a treat.  I have seen some of the projects of the other ladies on the team, and all I can say is "WOW!"  You will find tons of inspiration!

Today, my Mom is coming over to take the little ones swimming. I am going to try, and squeeze in one more project for Pebbles. Roman also found a photo, that he is wanting me to scrap!  We will see how productive I am today!

I wanted to wish everyone a happy weekend!  I will be back soon, with a layout, or two!  I wanted to post something today, but after receiving sad news yesterday, I could not seem to focus on anything.  I kept pushing paper around.  So today is a new day!

Random Ramblings

Happy Thursday!  Just some random goodness to share!

• The "Hoot Line", by in2scraps and Pine Cone Press Designs is available now! It is so exciting to see this! You  can see it Here!  It is adorable! It is already in local scrapbook stores in the OC area!  Jeannette is sending me the paper, and I cannot wait to play with it!
• Jeannette is finished with the designing of all her projects. I know, I keep repeating this, but seriously her book is going to ROCK!  It is called Celebration of Good Times!  It is being published with Pine Cone Press Designs!  It will be available soon.  Since I am her best friend, I hope to receive an autograph copy! LOL
• My first Design Team Box with Pebbles  arrived yesterday!  So much fun product! I am in love with the Lil Buddy line!  I think it will soon become a favorite of mine!  I already owned some of the Pebbles Chips, but now I have every color! They are fantastic!  I hope they come out with Alphabet Chips!
• My friend Deena is having a giveaway on her blog!  Check it out!  She creates the most adorable cards.
• Did you read that Making Memories is introducing a PINK slice??  I love the color pink!  I have the blue one already, so I cannot justify spending money on the pink one! Or can I??  LOL
• Have you visited the Pebbles Blog?  Everyday this week, they are introducing 5 members, of the Pebbles Design Team.  I know some of them, from seeing their work on the "scrap scene."  No, I am not implying I am part of that scene!  LOL You just recognize their work through message boards,and through their publications in magazines.  It has been fantastic to get to know these gals, a little better.  Serious talent on this team!  I am lucky to be a part of it!
• I really need to find my scrapbooking groove!  I have lost it, and cannot seem to find where it is hiding.  I have three mini albums, that need my attention.  I keep staring at them, like they are going to complete themselves!  LOL I think I will start with something small, like a layout!  I have paper I have been wanting to use.  Hopefully, tomorrow I will have something to share!
