Saying Hello

I wanted to say Hi.  Last week was really tough and tested my emotional strength.  I think I visited the doctors offices about ten times with a visit to the children's hospital!

Macie was really sick and the doctors could not figure out the cause.  Poor thing barely slept or moved from the same position.  We did see a specialist.  She will have to have her tonsils removed.  This will be the first step.  The doctor believes she has asthma or sinus problems.  This should help her to breathe and help to stifle her yucky cough.

I did have to go through this with Gabriela, so I am prepared.  I am still scared, but I know she will be fine.  

Anyway, I have not been able to work on any scrapbooking projects.  I hope to find some time this week.  

I have been busy creating tags for a person that is going to open her own cookie shop.

My sister and I are doing this together, so we have spent the last couple of nights designing tags for her business.  

I will have to take pictures and upload as soon as I have time.  I made two adorable Valentine tags that I will have to share.

Happy Monday

Hope everyone had a nice Monday.  Mine was busy trying to return items from the holidays.  I decided to wait until all three kids were at school.  The last place my children want to be is hopping from one store to the next!

Anyway, I spent this weekend creating cards.  My sister needed Thank You cards, so she asked if I could help her.  I made 15 of one card and may need to make a few more.  I have been told I am on standby.

It was a great feeling to see this:

It was nice to have a sense of accomplishment.  The little things that make me happy, glue and paper!

Anyway, I do like the end result of this card.  It was very simple and easy to make. However, I kept staring at the completed card.  To me it was missing something.  My scrapbooking style is to put every embellishment I own on my scrapbook pages!  I finally decided that less is more, so I went with that!

Happy Anniversary To Me

Well, I thought I would give myself a shout out, on this important day!  Today was our anniversary.  I spent most of the day running errands and watching the football playoffs.  Please do not remind me that my Cowboys are out!  Anyway, these were here when we arrived:

 

I do have a thoughtful husband, just wish he was here!  

Off to read the following material.  I simply had to take a picture because they are books of the same color palette.  Maybe it is a sign of some sort!

Card of 2008

Okay, I am sad to admit that this is the only card I made last year.  I have never been much of a cardmaker.  I seem to have  difficulty  working within a small amount of space.  I am not crazy about the title of this card, but it kept popping into my head.  

I have always been inspired to make cards, or rather have the intention to make them. Many times, I needed a card, and  thought if only I would sit down and make a few for different occassions.  I would always have a card at my disposable for an occassion.  I love receiving handmade cards.  I tend to hold onto them.  I will admit part of me always wondered, if I made a card would the receipient hold onto it, or would it end up in the trash!  I have decided to let go of that thought, because I love this hobby.  I love the paper, embellishments, and why not try something out of my comfort zone?

I use to love seeing this person's  work, when I worked at Timeless.  I was always excited to see her projects each month.  She designs the most adorable cards.  I visit her blog regularly for inspiration.  I have also been inspired by my friend Toni, whom is a Stampin Up consultant.  I miss seeing her projects.  She has an amazing way of pairing colors together.  So I am going to try and make a few handmade cards this year. One of many resolutions this year.

Thanks  for taking a peek.  I have a busy weekend ahead.  I seem to have yet another issue with my computer.  I cannot seem to find the 15,062 photos in my library! Another issue once again!  I am going to the Apple Store and see if they can locate them.  I am not panicked.  I know they are there.  Otherwise, right now, I would be devasted beyond belief!

I intend to learn how to use this computer.  You should see the books I have by my bed.  Like I stated before 2009, I am not going to be afraid to "PLAY."
