Happy November! It is not a great start to a new month! I am so looking forward to a new year. A New Year always brings a sense of a new beginning. Not that you can erase the slate of the previous years, but you have an opportunity for a fresh start. I always have goals for the New Year. I do my best to follow through, but sometimes I lose focus on what I want to accomplish.
I am beginning a journal documenting my goals for the Year 2009. I will take time to sit down and really analyze what I want for myself and my family. Even though we may be apart, our goals are the same. I just need a path to lead me in the right direction. I know life is not perfect, and there will always be obstacles. However, I want to be stronger in so many areas of my life. I want to be stronger emotionally, spiritually, physically, etc. There are things I want to learn and do. I just need a plan to help me achieve them.
This may be stemming from the fact that I am about to hit a milestone in my life. Where does the time go? Time truly for me is passing at an accelerating speed. I wish I could at times stop everything. My children are growing too fast, it makes my heart ache. Gabi is becoming a beautiful young girl who is showing her independence. Roman, well, my sweet boy is no longer a baby. He is about to lose his second tooth! And Macie, well, let us say that I need to spend all of my time with her. She is the most sassiest little girl. She is full of attitude! She is adorable, but her personality is full of different colors!!! I am very blessed to have beautiful and healthy children. I am also blessed to have a wonderful husband that is hardworking, determined and a great father. So for all of this I am thankful. (It must be that we are in the month of November and the Fall weather is at its peak. I love this time of year. The leaves falling to the ground, the air is crisp, football is in the air and you get to wear a jacket!)
Okay, let us talk about football. Roman had his last official game on Saturday. His team lost. The score was very upside down ,but they are still in the playoffs. He was one of the captains for this game. I was so happy that he had another opportunity as captain. I missed the first one, because I was sick. My wonderful sister did not have a camera, but I had another chance for photos!
Roman, did not want to hit the little boys on the other team. Why? Because some of them were his classmates. Well, I tried to tell him, they were going to defend him well. Roman found out the hard way on the first play. He was hit on the head, by another boy. Roman fell to the ground and the poor thing gets up and holds onto his head. Meanwhile, his teammates are huddling again, and no one notices that Roman is crying. Roman begins to run to the huddle and the coach finally notices. Here is a photo showing Roman trying to wipe away his tears.
The coach takes Roman out of the game and then he is finally attended too.
I did want to go onto the field to comfort him. However, due to a previous experience I refrained myself and kept shouting, "Shake it off, Roman." One father was happy I did just that!
I do have one layout or a sneak peek of one. I may be sounding redundant, but I do not have many supplies with me. I may have a paper line, but not the embellishments, or vice versa. Somehow during our crazy and chaotic move, all the boxes I wanted with me, did not arrive. I could not track them down through UPS, so I am hoping that they are in our storage unit. The day, I am able to unpack all of my scrapbook supplies, I hope to see them again. Otherwise, I will be one sad person!(:
Okay, I have been wanting to use this paper line for awhile. It is by
Making Memories , one of my favorite companies. It is the Animal Crackers baby line. I had the paper, but not the embellishments, and I did not have a photo picked for this layout. However, thanks to one of my "sassy friends", I knew immediately which photo I could use for this layout.
I love this paper so much and had fun playing with the ribbon, buttons, and felt. I did use the new textured Swiss Dots paper by Bazzill. I only bought a couple of colors, but now want to go and buy more! I am also going to buy more of the Making Memories paper, so I can scraplift my own design for my scrapbooks!
The layout is called bundle of joy and here is the sneak peek:
I did not ask her permission to show the layout with her son, which is why there is only a sneak peek. I should have taken a photo of the layout, prior to adhering the photo, but I did not think of this at the time. I will try and recreate it soon, so I can show you the entire layout!
So Jennifer E. please send me your mail address. I hope you like this layout! I will send you the layout and a copy of the photo on a CD!
I hope to have more pages to show you next week. I am still planning on uploading photos of my Halloween Banner. I hope to do this sometime this week. I am sorry to end this post on a sad note. Our beloved Lucy, is missing.
We are so sad and hurt. Lucy has been with me for over twelve years. We loved her and she was a part of our family. It is the unknowing part that is tearing us apart. I just want to know that she is okay and not hurt.
Lucy has loved the country, and I gave her too much rein. She would wander out to country road and walk. She has been lost before, but we were fortunate the first time, to have a stranger pick her up and call us.
I do not know if someone grabbed her and took her home with them. If maybe she is lost and cannot find her way back home. I can only hope that she is with a loving family, that decided to keep her for themselves. I do hope they are taking care of her. Gabi has been so distraught over this. I kept her home from school yesterday. My Mom and Gabi walked the neighborhoods and we even posted signs of her. We keep praying and hoping, but we know that we will never see her again.
My Dad also received news that his dog has cancer. He is very close to his dog. He took him from the previous owner that was discarding him due to his deafness.
I am sorry to end with sad news, but felt it was important to talk about.
Thanks for reading this far and do not forget to VOTE!
