I have been super busy as I am sure most everyone is. I cannot seem to make a dent on what needs to be done. Anyway, with all the changes in my life, I am trying to take one day at a time. You know I am trying to be positive as everything unravels in front of me. I did realize that it is so crucial to have a great network of friends around you. I am very blessed to have friends that are there for me. These are the people that I can count on and I can tell them everything. They listen and support without criticism or judgement. These are the people that I will lean on and hope to have in my life for a lifetime. I have realize who my true friends are and will not worry about trying to please everyone. I hope that everyone has someone like this in there life. I do count on my husband and family. However, it is so nice to have girlfriends!!
I have been busy working and finishing classes for Timeless. Here is my May kit. I love the colors on this one!
I will post later photos of the ATC I designed. I think this was my favorite project and cannot wait to do a Christmas one. I am planning on making one for my mother for Mother's Day. I need to start working on that!
I have also been busy with baseball games. This is my son's first year and he is having so much fun. I have only been to one game due to cheer competitions. The cheer season is done for awhile, so I can now focus on my son.
This past weekend was filled with cheer competitions and a baseball gone. Each day began at 4am and ended at 11pm. Luckily, my husband was able to take time off, so he helped tremendously. He took the morning shift of cheer. I took over the baseball game and met them for the afternoon of cheer. It has been tough on us, due to Gabi being on two teams. I will say as much as I complain, it has been a great year for her in terms of growth. Her younger team took 1st;however, she had to warm up with the older team so could not participate in the awards. I accepted her trophy and jacket for her! Her older team took 3rd and we were disappointed. There were many obstacles with this team from the beginning. I will not bore you with all the details. All in all, it was worth it. I know in my previous post, I said we were taking time off. After much thought, we have decided we are in for another year. Gabi really wants to cheer again. She does not want to try anything else. I wish she would, but I will not push her. As a friend of mine has said, "She is a natural." These were very kind words and I realize, I will support Gabi. Of course, her grades will need to remain strong as she enters the fourth grade. So Gabi will tryout and after we evaluate the team she has been selected to, we will solidify our decision.
I need to go and make dinner. We are having turkey meatloaf, roasted potatoes and a salad. I will post photos of the ATC spinner and photos of the great stamps I found!
Enjoy the evening, I am in for a great night of TV. American Idol and of course the Laker game! Go Lakers!
