Sneak Peek of Upcoming Class {Timeless Treasures}

Happy Friday! I am so happy it is here! We have experienced a busy week! We were a bit overscheduled in all areas, but thankfully, I see some downtime!
Well, not for me anyway(; I am busy today wrapping a couple of assignments, and finishing upcoming mini albums.

I do have a sneak peek of an upcoming class at Timeless. It is an inspiration shadowbox that has been on my to do list for awhile. I love the new collection Follow Your Heart by My Mind's Eye. It was perfect for what I envisoned. If you live in Orange County, be sure to stop over at Timeless this Sunday, April 22 from 2PM-4PM. All of the instructors will be previewing their upcoming classes, and I for one cannot wait to see what they came up with!

hello, there {My Mind's Eye} Scrapbook Page

Hi, everyone! 

Today, I have a page using My Mind's Eye, On the Bright Side Collection! I thought I mix it up a bit, and share a page of my sweet son! He will be nine soon! Where does the time go? He rarely likes to stop for a photo. So out of fifteen, this is the only I captured of him smiling(;

I love all the woodgrain papers found in this collection, and used it as the backdrop for the page. One of the things I love about My Mind's Eye, are all the tags, brads, and titles! I am able to create pages quickly, and love being able to add different details to them.

It seems stars just go well with boy pages. Here I diecut a star out of the red dot paper, and used the premade circle embellishment on top. I did a bit of inking using Towbow's Dual Craft Markers. The gray pen was a perfect match to the papers.

I cut several strips of paper to layer over the premade journaling tag. They are not just for journaling! They make for perfect accents to your pages.

Here I created a bit of a pocket using pop dots. This helped to raised my title over the patterned paper. I wanted to be able to tuck in my journaling, and a few stick pins for fun accents.

Okay, time for me to get ready for work. I am usually off on Tuesdays, but someone needed my help today(: Tomorrow, I will share the two page layout I created for a recent class. It uses the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection.  I do have nine kits avaialble, so if you are interested in seeing the page, please come back tomorrow(;

CHA Scrapbook Pages {My Mind's Eye}

Hi, everyone!

On the My Mind's Eye blog I have two new scrapbook pages I created for CHA. I worked with Miss Caroline, and Follow Your Heart. If you have not seen them, I think you will soon want to add them to your stash. I loved them both,  but think Miss Caroline might just might be my favorite.

Such a wonderful day

I love anything with butterflies and All Dolled up, has plenty of them on every element. The colors of this collection are also so vibrant, and girly at the same time! 
a few details:

How fun is that large butterfly? This is a new embellishment found in the collections. They are wood diecuts, and can be alter in anyway you would like. I painted mine with an antique white acrylic paint, and used one of the dimensional butterfly stickers on top. I layered the butterflies on top of a layer of embossed vellum. Thought it was perfect on top of my journaling tag.

Still have to love the preprinted titles! I struggle with titles, so anytime I can use one already made for me, it helps in my design process. Of course, I wanted to soften this page, so I added a piece of stitched vellum underneath.

My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge 31{Scrapbook page} & some news

The January Blog Challenge is posted on the My Mind's Eye Blog. The above sketch is designed by the fabulous Anam Stubbington, and the theme is "New." For this challenge, I created the following page with the Kraft Fun Day Collection. If you have not had a chance to play with this collection, you will fall in love with the texture of the papers. They are a heavier weight, and love the subtle patterns.

New Friends:

Okay, Sammie is not "new". We received him last year during Christmas. However, the relationship between he, and Gabi has definitely blossomed into something "new." He has become so attached to her in the last few months, and will sit on her bed until she returns home from school. As soon, as Gabi walks into the house, she drops her backpack, (much to my dismay), and squeezes him, as if it was for the first time. Now, if she could be a bit better on establishing a walking routine with him, I would be estatic(;

The label on the right hand side is from a new punch I recently purchased! I love the size, and I think you need it, too! I found it here.

Here, I created a single bloom out of the different papers, and layered them on top of vellum. I know, love this paper! I now purchase this by the package, because it has become a staple in my scrapbooking. Vellum, for me, softens the page, and it is so pretty in conjunction with an embossing folder. Definitely a must have!

These banners are found on the chipboard accessory sheet. They are already inked, and ready to be placed onto your page. I did add the tiny heart brads, I found in my stash.

My title was cut using my Cricut Expression, and my favorite cartridge at the moment, Teresa Collins Sophisticated. 

In other news, I am excited to share with you, I will be rejoining the Fancy Pants Design Team for another year! So thankful for another year with an amazing manufacturer!
I love creating with their products, and love the new additions they have added this year! One of my favorite items to use on my pages are being introduced, and I love their mini size! So, you will see my work on their blog, and I will share my new projects soon. Thank you Lisa, and Jodi for having me!

Three Tiny Houses { My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Christmas}

My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge 30 {Card & Layout}

The My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge is posted on their blog. First, here is the sketch for the card. The theme is anything goes!
  A simple sketch that really helped me in the design process. I used the
12 Days of Christmas for the card, since it was already sitting on my desk from a previous page. I love it when I can use scraps of paper for a card, and now will have this available for a teacher's or hostess gift.

The three circle design elements are the large chipboard circle, and the two glittered peppermints are the final two.

I addeda bit of inking to the small banner strip. I simply removed the brad at the end, stamped, and decided to replace the brad with a staple. To finish the card, I tied the red twine around the bottom of the card.

This page took me about an hour to create. To be honest this is all the time I had available(; So, I stayed pretty true to the sketch, and was able to scrapbook these sweet photos of Roman from 2007. I could not find three small photos of him smiling , so I used a 4x6 in its place. 

Detail of the chipboard elements from the 12 Days of Christmas.I also added three sticker snowflakes from American Crafts. I really loved these, and wish I had another package!(; I added the date with my computer, and printed it on the preprinted title.

I have to go now! I have been sick for three days, and have so much to get accomplished! I had to call in sick to work this morning, and I really do not like doing that. Lots of assignments due in the next few days, and I am working, too. Enjoy your day, and thank you for stopping by!
