The focus were on the Fancy Pants Summer Soul rubons, and here I tried something I have not done in the past. It is pretty simple. All I did was embossed over the rubons. I thought this was pretty cool, and loved that the rubon stayed intact even when sent through my Cuttlebug.

Today, I have a few Fancy Pants projects to share with you. All of he following projects used my favorite collection from Fancy Pants, Childish Things.
First, is a scrapbook page I created of my Miss Macie. Look at how small she looks in the photos! These were taken at Roman's Birthday party, and she loved the ball pit. She did not want to leave, and was so content playing.
Child's Play
This collection is full of fun, and whimsical patterns. I really love the primary colors on the kraft background. Seriously in love with this collection, and need to restock my stash soon.(;
Details:
Now, if you follow my blog, you probably know I love my embossing folders! On the brown paper, I embossed it on the wrong side. However, after laying it down onto my page, I was okay with it, "as is." Sometimes, mistakes turn out to be fun mistakes. The word play is from one of the journaling tags from this paper, and I used the letter stickers from the same collection on top. How beautiful is that blue button? My favorite buttons are Fancy Pants, and this primary package is one that I will be so sad to see depleted.
Another journaling tag holding my date, and a cute chipboard horse to add a fun detail. In the corner you can also see a bit of the star rubons I used from the Childish Things Rub ons package.
With my scraps, I usually tend to throw them away. Yes, I did just write that. I simply do not have the space, or the time for another filing system. So, ususally after a project, my scraps are thrown away. This time I took this opportunity to create two cards:
Smile {Card}
I started in a whole other direction with this card, but love the simple end result. The "twinkle twinkle little star" strip from the music paper, inspired the card. Simple, but so sweet!
Believe in fairytales {card}
How adorable is the prince, and princess? If you have not purchased this collection, I think it should be on your list(; I love this card, too. Every time I look at it, I feel like it was meant as a card for Gabi. Not sure why, but it will be in a safe place until that time presents itself. A Princess cannot have a crown without a bit of glitter. So, I ran the journaling card through my Xyron, and then dusted Diamond Dust all over the top. I have not pulled out my glitter in awhile! Today marks the first day of our official spring break! So thankful for a few days to spend with my kids. We do not have any special plans. We are simply going to enjoy a bit of downtime. I am definitely looking forward to a week without a set agenda(;
Today, I wanted to share with you a page I created with Fancy Pants Summer Soul collection. These colors are perfect for for welcoming summer! These are happy, and bright colors! Colors I tend to gravitate toward.
"Summer is here again"
These are more photos taken at a resort last year. Gabi's best friend invited us to spend a day with them. They had a wonderful water park, and the kids had a great time! I was glad to simply look, and take photos. I am not a big fan of water! LOL
a few details:
I created a banner along the top of the page, using one of my favorite Martha Stewart punches. The sun tucked behind the photo is one of Fancy Pants newest mini stamps, called Star burst. You can find it here at Two Peas.I stamped the image, and then using my Xyron, added glitter on the top.
Here is another look at the starburst stamp in action.
The photo of Macie inspired my confetti sun I created in the corner. I love that it created movement to my page, and again used the starburst stamp for my sun. I cannot create a page without a bit of texture, so the sun rests on layers of embossed papers.

I cannot believe how quickly the weekend went by for me! Where does the time go? I have been busy preparing for CHA,kid's activities,work,etc. However, I did sneak off to see two movies on Friday night, with a couple of my girlfriends. I knew I had way too much to do, but sometimes you simply have to take a break. Well, I do, at least.(;

This photo is of Macie taken last March. Every time I take a look at the series of photos I have, there is always one that I find that needs to be documented.I love how my lens reflected off the sun to create the green shadow effect on the photo. Not sure if this is a good thing, but I love it just the same! The colors of this collection are vibrant, and matches my daughter's personality to a tee!
a few details:
One paper I love to see in their collection, are the border strips all on one 12x12 sheet. Cute borders, and adorable titles like the one you see above! How funky is that bird? I also created a white lacy border strip, and included my journaling on this border!
I cut my title using my diecutting machine, and added some cute accents using the chipboard elements. Of course, I adding a bit of embossing behind the title. Simple white cardstock, with a heart embossing folder, that coordinated perfectly with this page. It even matches the green patterned paper. Okay, I just now noticed that! LOL I love it when that happens! I was thinking how smart I was that it matched the chipboard element, never noticed the green paper was the same pattern! LOL
Finally, a simple heart design cut from the papers, and a new item that Fancy Pants has added, are stamps! They are a mini size, and you will find a variey of them within each collection! Also, a banner chipboard that added more texture to, by embossing it!

Okay, Sammie is not "new". We received him last year during Christmas. However, the relationship between he, and Gabi has definitely blossomed into something "new." He has become so attached to her in the last few months, and will sit on her bed until she returns home from school. As soon, as Gabi walks into the house, she drops her backpack, (much to my dismay), and squeezes him, as if it was for the first time. Now, if she could be a bit better on establishing a walking routine with him, I would be estatic(;
The label on the right hand side is from a new punch I recently purchased! I love the size, and I think you need it, too! I found it here.

Here, I created a single bloom out of the different papers, and layered them on top of vellum. I know, love this paper! I now purchase this by the package, because it has become a staple in my scrapbooking. Vellum, for me, softens the page, and it is so pretty in conjunction with an embossing folder. Definitely a must have!
These banners are found on the chipboard accessory sheet. They are already inked, and ready to be placed onto your page. I did add the tiny heart brads, I found in my stash.
My title was cut using my Cricut Expression, and my favorite cartridge at the moment, Teresa Collins Sophisticated.
In other news, I am excited to share with you, I will be rejoining the Fancy Pants Design Team for another year! So thankful for another year with an amazing manufacturer!
I love creating with their products, and love the new additions they have added this year! One of my favorite items to use on my pages are being introduced, and I love their mini size! I have been having fun creating these paper sacks. Super easy to dress up a plain brown paper sack, into something special! They are fantastic to tuck in cards, cookies, and small treats. I created two other cards, too.

It has been a busy week for me, and I am trying to play catch up. Gabriela has been really sick the last few days. So all my attention has been on her. Thankfully,she is feeling better, today.
